Cult favourite and former Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn has announced his retirement wit the team.
The former first-team All-Pro and three time Pro Bowler won a Super Bowl with the team in 2010 as well as five NFC North titles. He will be most remembered by fans for the the loud "Kuuuuuhn" chants that would erupt every time he touched the ball.
"John was a terrific football player and tremendous teammate who contributed to many years of success for the Packers," general manager Brian Gutekunst said in a statement.
“He was a true professional whose work ethic and leadership set a great example both on the field and in the locker room. We want to thank John and his family for all they did for the Packers and in the community as well as wish them nothing but the best.”
Kuhn started his career with a year in Pittsburgh before joining the Packers in 2010. He finished his career playing two seasons with the New Orleans Saints in 2016-17. The fullback recorded 658 yards and 19 touchdowns on 217 attempts in hi 9-year career, per Pro Football Reference.
