UPDATE: Speaking to Michael Irvin at the Super Bowl launch party, Robey-Coleman clarified his comments to Bleacher Report, saying Brady is "still the goat. He's still a legend."
Nickell Robey-Coleman is making sure he remains in the spotlight.
Just one day removed from retracting his thoughts that may have foul Tommylee Lewis in the NFC title game, the Rams cornerback has taken aim at Tom Brady, saying age is "definitely" affecting the quarterback's game.
"Age has definitely taken a toll" said Robey-Coleman in an interview with Bleacher Report: "Movement. Speed. Velocity. Arm strength. He can still sling it, but he's not slinging it as much. Whatever he was doing, because of age and all that, he's not doing as much of that anymore... And sometimes [what Brady does] is not the sharpest."
Robey-Coleman added that his four seasons in Buffalo means he"naturally hates [the New England Patriots." "I've got Buffalo blood running through my veins," the 27-year-old continued: "You know I hate these guys."
A relatively unknown name before the controversial helmet-to-helmet tackle in the Saints game, Robey-Coleman has not backed down in light of negative media he's received in the last week. Despite a $26,739 fine for the unflagged hit and a formal complaint from a Louisiana governor, Robey-Coleman says commentators do not bother him.
"Wolves don't concern themselves with the opinion of sheep" he concluded.
