Steelers sending Brown to Buffalo

Antonio Brown is moving further north.

In a shock move, the Steelers look set to trade their star wide receiver to the Buffalo Bills. Details of the trade are not yet known but Pittsburgh is expected to take on $21.2 million in dead money this year with the move, per Over The Cap.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport first reported the news.

Interest in where the receiver would land has been building since the 30-year-old sat out his team's week 17 game and continued to voice displeasure all off-season. Brown was told by owner Art Rooney II and general manager Kevin Colbert that a trade would be facilitated just three weeks ago. However, reports surfaced that the team wanted to trade Brown out of the conference, with the 49ers, Packers and Cardinals looking like likely landing spots.

Brown leaves an incredible legacy behind in Pittsburgh. A former sixth round pick, the wide receiver was named to four straight All-Pro teams, has led the league in receptions and receiving yards twice, and last season led the league with 15 receiving touchdowns.

But he brings an uncertain future to Buffalo. The last three months have shown the discomfort Brown can bring to a team, from refusing to play in Pittsburgh's regular season finale to calling out quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for having too much control.

After weeks of demanding a trade, Antonio Brown has been granted his wish. Now we can only wait and see how he plays with a weaker supporting cast surrounding him.
